Meet The Author
Cherese Bracey.....was born in Manhattan, New York and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey where she currently resides with her family. She is an entreprenuer of many talents with a focus in song writing, literary works, mentoring, creating, and motivational speaking to name a few. She credits her success to her faith in Jesus whom she loves dearly. Cherese created the reading role models-Reesie Reader & Bookie-with a strong purpose to express the joy and love for reading that will spark an interest in children to "want" to read and care for books.
The character Reesie Reader, the girl who LOVES to read, was born out of her role as an early childhood teacher. Bookie is Reesie Reader's little book friend who is the 'King' of book world and is full of surprises. Her two recently published children's books feature the fun and inspirational characters who are making an imprint in the hearts of children they meet.
Her newest project to promote reading through music is one that has children dancing and loving to read. "The Story Time Friends Crew" is a variety of children coming together on different levels to present music in fun-tastical ways that encourage children to read.
